On Monday 14.9. BROZ organized a field lecture at Devínska Kobyla for students of the Department of Environmental Ecology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava. Devínska Kobyla is a Special Area of Conservation, part of Natura 2000 network.
Pavol Littera from BROZ acquainted the students with the revitalization of the Devín arm of the Danube, the importance of living rivers and river restoration. Then we moved to the Devínska Kobyla to show students the effect of grazing on the maintenance of forest-steppe biotope. In addition, we introduced them to other conservation activities that BROZ is engaged in.
Excursion was part of the EU Green Week 2020 on the theme of nature and biodiversity.
