BROZ is the coordinator of the Danube Art Master competition in Slovakia, a competition that since 2004 has brought together thousands of children from the countries through which the Danube River flows. The aim is to encourage children to recognize the value and importance of rivers.
On June 28, the results were solemnly announced as part of the International Danube Day 2023 event, which was organized for schools at the premises of the Slovak Water Management Company in Vlčie hrdlo. Winning teams and individuals competing in three categories – artwork, video and map – were awarded with interesting prizes such as large textile fish or board games.
In addition to the announcement of the results, also a rich accompanying programmed was prepared for the students – educational activities at various stands, a boat trip, themed creative crafting from recycled materials, an aquarium with live fish and much more.
At the international level, the organizers of the competition are the Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR).
