Our summer volunteer camp on Bird Island in the Dunajské luhy Special Protection Area has come to an end!
Despite the intense summer heat, 39 dedicated volunteers—members and supporters—joined us once again to lend a hand. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed under such challenging conditions.
Thanks to their efforts, the most critical parts of the habitat were mowed, cleared, and prepared for birds.
This year’s fieldwork camp was organized as part of the LIFE21-NAT-SK-LIFE 4 STEPPE BIRDS project: “Conservation and Return of Steppe Bird Species to the Lowlands of Slovakia.”
