Mossy Earth has released the 7th video about our joint revitalization of the Istragov wetland. Duarte returned after 2 years to check what impact this revitalization had on the fauna and flora. Two years ago, with their financial help, we dug a canal here that fills a large marsh in Istragov that had been without water for over 20 years (since the construction of the Gabcikovo hydroelectric power plant). This year was really significant for Istragov as the water in the canals has been maintained since winter and so the amphibians have had time for a complete metamorphosis. We are happy to have such an enthusiastic partner to help us restore the wetlands in the Danube floodplain forests as well as on Žitný Ostrov.
