On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, we organized a seminar at Beckov Farm as part of the LIFE Metamorphosis project focused on sustainable deworming of livestock. This is a method of protecting animals from parasites that takes biodiversity conservation into account. Entomologists Ľuboš Víťaz and Tomáš Olšovský, farmer Ivana Kodajová, and the director of the Institute of Parasitology at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Marián Varády, came to share their practical experiences and expert knowledge. The seminar was part of our ‘Krajina živá’ (Living Landscape) program, which focuses on highlighting, appreciating, and connecting nature-friendly farmers.
