We are very pleased that, after a long period of processing approvals, construction permits, procurement of a supplier, in accordance with the technical documentation, work aimed at restoring water flow of the E3 weir on the line E of the Danube river branch system is under construction.

Three expert teams carried out inventory/mapping of butterflies in the 10 Natura 2000 sites. This involved 37 transects, each surveyed during 3 different periods, in order to identify species with varying flight times.
Installing nest boxes, artificial nests, and platforms is a well-established conservation practice supported by both science and experience. Across Europe and in Slovakia, such interventions have helped secure breeding sites for rare bird species that otherwise lack suitable natural options due to habitat loss or degradation.
The autumn days from October 11th to 13th were marked by an active exchange of experiences in the management of valuable biotopes, where grazing is well combined with nature conservation. Together with stakeholders from Life-Subpannonic and Life-South, we embarked on a field trip to Hortobágy National Park.
On Friday 9th of September 2023 we took part in the prestigious event European night of researchers. It is an action that promotes science and research and organizations and institutions that either collect data, analyze it or use it in their practice.
Also this year, in the summer months of July and August, we again organized six rounds of children’s camps on Veľkolélsky ostrov Island, with facilities at Ekofarm Ostrov.
