Declaring Serényi Cistern as National Cultural Heritage helps revive pastures in Plešivská planina
Serényi´s cistern on the Plešivská Planina in the Slovak Karst was built in 1913 to ensure water for grazing animals and improve grazing conditions on the plain.
Today, there is a lack of water for animals, because the cistern is not functional and unfortunately it no longer fulfils its role.
