In cooperation with designers from SVP and experts from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vuvh.sk\/\">Water Research Institute (V\u00daVH)<\/a>, we have managed to design a series of measures that will help create \u201cwild\u201d islands on the main channel of the Danube in Kl\u00ed\u017eska Nem\u00e1.\r\nThis will be the first revitalization of its kind in Slovakia, where we will lower and disconnect the groynes &#8211; guide embankments that direct water into the navigation channel (&#8220;v\u00fdhony&#8221;) from the riverbank. This will create a parallel river branch within the main channel and provide a refuge for Danube fish species.<\/p>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;40040&#8243; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]\r\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"202\">Our plans are ambitious and gradual \u2014 in the future, we would like to modify the entire groyne system in Kl\u00ed\u017eska Nem\u00e1, consisting of a total of eight groynes, implemented in three construction phases.<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p data-start=\"204\" data-end=\"451\">We have now entered the permitting process and held numerous meetings with the relevant stakeholders, including the Slovak-Hungarian Commission for Boundary Waters and the Ministry of Transport \u2014 all with positive outcomes.
